Welcome to my sketchbook! Here I'm going to collect all the various little doodles and sketches that I don't otherwise have anywhere to put. Most of these are quick doodles done on staff rotas, so ignore any bits of timetable you might spot around here. If you want to see any image at full size, just right-click and select 'Open Image In New Tab'! Images with a * at the start of their description have been cropped because of sizing, so follow previous advice to see them in full.

This monster started with a generic dino-like skull, then got some exposed muscle and fluff attached as well. I think he'd be pretty scary if I could render him properly. Listening to the Beetlejuice: The Musical soundtrack too much. Just had to draw the B-man himself. * Dream Of The Endless. I watched The Sandman over a fair few times, it's jsut too good! Just Some Girl. She's kinda cute tho.
I like cheetahs. Rawr. (Honestly, not the WORST cat I've drawn, so...) The husbands themselves. Rewatched Good Omens S1 and S2 - I just can't deny, I love these two. After watching the second Avator movie, I just wanted to try drawing some Na'vi! I did name this kid, but I can't remember what... Another Na'vi! The older brother to the other kid. Again, I did name him, but I'll have to look them up.
* Wolf skull study during a quiet hour. Mostly just trying something that isn't a dinosaur skull... This BOMB'S for you >)
I just love my toasty rat boy. I'm actually really proud of this one!
Damien Thorn from The Omen. Just a little idea I had of him showing his outward childliek innocence - and also a demonic halo for his heritage. A conversation at work lead to a team effort in alien design - the Qixa'ali (kiksa-ah-lee). Ngl, I kinda love it. It would totally fit into something like Star Trek.
* Suddenly got hit with the memory of Ye Old Emo 'i made u a cookie but i eated it' style doodles and wanted to try it out. I think I nailed it. Their names are Devon and Kim, if you care. Trying to draw dinos from more interesting perspectives. I love when birds try to make themselves look big and scary by flaring out their wings, so here's that. A Parasaurolophus. That's about all. Biblically accurate angel? Try biblically accurate demon. I actually quite like the design.
Finally listened to Welcome To The Black Parade and everyone was right. I loved it. I love the look Gerard Way had for this album. Just some random emo singer. Gotta admit, I miss the emo style sometimes. Ah, nostalgia. Concept of designing some punk characters based on different eras/styles. This is Jaz, I'm thinking of a goth/punk vibe for her. Just a little cartoony landscape. Might try making it pixel art sometime.
* 'where r da cheezez?'
Just a little emo mouse. No cheez. So sad.
Sometimes you just get nostalgic for things... Like sitting down to watch the TV as a kid. Not that I ever had a TV that looked like this... 'Love Under Rainy Skies'
I was just feeling a little sappy, tbh. Sometimes all you need is someone to share their umbrella.
I just love the new Planet Of The Apes series!! I wanted to try and figure out how I might draw Caesar in my kind of style. Here he is!
It was Draw A Dinosaur Day!! This is ot any specific dinosaur though, just some generic feathery guy. On a branch. Just Cause. Another lil guy! I love his tiny feets. He's actually one of my favourite dino doodles, I think. * I LOVE Epic: The Musical. I love their Poseidon as well, his voice is SO good. This is my mental image of him. * A quickly doodled Brachiosaurus with some pterosaurs in the back. Please don't fact-check the type of pterosaur.
* A lil Gallimimus (or... similar dino) taking a little snooze. I was thinking of picturs of giraffes where they just lie their necks onto their bcks to sleep. A dino going flycatching! More practice of less traditional anglesand poses. * Don't be bad or you'll get THAG'ED!!
If worst comes to worst, just threaten them with a thagomiser.
* It was a foggy day at work. You really couldn't see very far, and this is kind of what it felt like.
We were SUPER understaffed at work, during a busy period. It was. Y'know. Fine. As you can tell. It was World Plaid Day, apparently. I just wanted to doodle a little Jim Kirk, and he seemed like the kinda guy to wear plaid. Just a gal. She's commenting on the sunset colours. (Did you know I like sunsets?) The rota is heavy! So difficult to lift it up enough to get a bit of space here...
* An Allosaurus skull, grown over after death... I just love the idea of this kind of landscape scene. Happy Halloween, have a clown >)
(Somehow he's... kinda cute...)
