Well, anyway, if you ARE ready... We're learning Intermediate HTML and CSS over here. Like those abbr things over there. I assume it can be used in many secret ways.
Apparently you can use q for quotations
but also I think I can just... type "with quote marks"?
Or maybe I can't. Maybe that just irrevocably fucked up all of
my code. Guess we'll find out. (Spoiler: yeah it worked just fine)
There's also blockquote for... blockquotes, I guess. I think text has to be aligned left for the blockquote to actually look like it's doing something but...
I guess this is a test. I don't really know what it's going to do, but here we have it. Why would I really use this? I don't know, honestly.
Still, this is a testing ground. We're testing. Testing, testing, 1, 2, 3. You know what, coding this, I'm suddenly understanding why the early Internet was Like That. Or probably more Like This. You really see where the humour was coming from. Anyway, back to the learning...
Ahh see here we go... Blockquotes automatically cause a new p. So I have to remember that for text inside and after the blockquote. The more you learn!!
I'm going to try out div classes now. Pretty exciting right?
Not really.
Oh well
Let's put in a fun little dropdown!
Just for fun, I'm going to put this little bit of text here. You know. Just to break up the boxes, give them something that they're actually in between. I'm wondering if I can use abbr on images to make descriptions that pop up when you hover. If I could that'd be awesome right? Something to try out later.
London is the capital city of England. It is the most populous city in the United Kingdom, with a metropolitan area of over 13 million inhabitants.
Standing on the River Thames, London has been a major settlement for two millennia, its history going back to its founding by the Romans, who named it Londinium.
<--- Look. That's London! With feeling! How many little boxes can I make? The sky's the limit I guess! But also I want to see if my coding actually worked so, that's enough.
Now let's try out that idea I had earlier. You know, the one with abbr to create hovertext for images.
Here we go....
Success!!! Only with an img though. I have no idea what was happening with the GIF I tried.
Another page!
