Further Watching

Obviously, I love PSAs and PIFs. There are a lot of others who do too, and a lot of these videos, I find through others - compilation channels, archives and commentary channels! So here, I'm compiling some of the various people you should check out if you, too, want to explore more into the PSA rabbithole!

Full Length PIFs

While a lot of PSAs are short, usually under 3 minutes, there are some full-length PIFs that can be anything from 10 minutes to full film length. Here I've collected some of my favourites

Play Safe (1978)

A 10 minute PIF on electricity safety around power lines and substations. Also has a much shorter PSA version titled "Play Safe: Frisbee", the origin of the infamous "Jimmy!!!" scene.

Dangerous Stuff (1988)

A 15 minute PIF on elctricity safety around substations. I guess kids did't get the message with Play Safe. Again, has a shorter PSA version titled "Dangerous Stuff: Football".

Killing Time (1992)

A 15 minute PIF on safety around railways and trains. Uploaded version has censored some real crime scene and autopsy photos; apparently these were uncensored in the original.

Apaches (1977)

A 30 minute PIF on safety on farms. A classic and staple in the PSA world - personally, Sharon's death (at 18:00 in) is the scariest to me.
